So, I'm burned out reading at home (though I might still get some mileage out of my porch). Somerville people, where are your favorite places to get work done?
I can't read in the Diesel (too loud), and bought $70 of tea at Mark T. Wendell yesterday, so I'm not sure I want to hang out in a coffee house, but am open to the idea.

Currently considering going to campus and reading in Lamont, so that I can drop by the Div school happy hour, also pondering True Grounds, but I'm not sure. Thoughts?

Also, Spatch, dude, this world is too small.

You could sit on the bleachers at the Holland St park. The efficacy of this location will depend on how irritating you find the sound of nearby children at play.

Little late for this, but I wrote about half my thesis at the Belmont Public Library. Not sure what your transportation situation is, but if you can get out there it is an incredibly nice and quiet place to work.

Also, is it true that the Someday Cafe is gone? [livejournal.com profile] marginaleye used to practically live there.

Thanks! What a good idea! I've been out to the concord library before, but never to belmont.

The someday is, sadly, gone. That's where I used to go. The Tosci's guys had some issues (the Harvard Square location is gone, and the tosci's over in, uh, inman has changed ownership, it seems) and let the lease run out. Mr Crepe, which had lost its lease when Dave's Fresh Pasta decided to add a sandwich counter, pounced on it and remodeled it in as unfriendly a way as possible for doing any work (which is fine, but makes them useless for this thread).

That's too bad. I can't imagine Davis without it. Diesel is definitely not great for work.
